Technical Difficulties…

They said to start a blog. That it would be fun to start a blog. Maybe it would be if it was just writing. But I gotta admit I know nothing at all about setting up a web/blog site. And this is not fun. I am sure a 15 year old would have zero issues, but I am pretty lost. Hopefully help is coming, but in the meantime every picture I upload doubles or triples. Setting up things should be simple. Other peoples look great and it seemed easy. Ya- nope! The word of the day is FRUSTRATING! I have pages of ideas on what to write about but instead, progress is halted due to technical difficulties. Literally! So, hopefully by the time you start reading this, this nonsense will be nothing but history!

  1. Chill. I’m a fifty-year IT veteran, and I have issues with some of the “new and improved” [web, etc] technology, most certainly with good old WordPress. [I am NOT the only IT pro who says this, trust me.] Take it slow. Don’t expect to be perfectly polished form the get-go. Relax. Post your blogs, essays, rants, flashes and shorts. Look to learn a little each day [some days you won’t] and watch your “site’ evolve. If you like to write, hang in there. Got something to say, hang in there. Angry about or pleased with something , hang in there. Post. Learn. Read. Comment. Establish WP resources. You’ll make it. [Suspect you are a perfectionist. Don’t be. You can’t afford to be. Web tools are largely managed by people who are as much idiots as you and I; they make mistakes and their ideas on “best” won’t always line up with the rest of the world.]
